FAQ

  • How do you create your work?

Aaron mainly makes mixed media art with various supplies, but will also create pyrography works on occasion.

  • What is Pyrography?

Pyrography or “burned art” is art which has been created using a heated tool to create marks. Pyrography is usually created on wood, leather, and bone but if the appropriate tool and temperatures are used, pyrography can also be done on paper.

  • What is mixed media art?

Mixed media art is art that has been created using two or more types of material or mediums. Aaron creates his mixed media art on 140 lb cold pressed water color paper with various inks, pens, pencils and markers.

  • Do you accept requests for custom art?

Aaron does not usually accept custom requests for art but will do so on occasion.

  • How long does it take for you to complete an artwork?

It is hard to say for sure. When Aaron was focused on creating pyrography, he would log all of his hours when making art. Some of his pyrography work could take 40+ hours to complete. However, he no longer prices his art based on time so as a result, he no longer keeps track of the hours going into each artwork. He generally will complete an art piece after several “art sessions” over 7 day period.

  • Where can I find your work on display?

Throughout the year Aaron displays his work at fine art shows and festivals in Pensacola, FL and Orange Beach, AL and plans to start doing shows throughout the greater Gulf Coast. Year round he has his work on display at the store front of Lost Boys Mushrooms, a sustainable mushroom farm located in Pensacola.
